How to Become a Home Inspector in Arizona in 5 Easy Steps
Step one: Complete 84 hours of approved home inspection training.
You are required to take 84 hours of home inspection training. Both of our courses are approved by the Arizona State Board of Technical Registration.
Step two: Complete required field training.
Arizona requires you to shadow 30 real home inspections as field experience, ATI does not currently offer this course. In Arizona, home inspectors are regulated by theArizona State Board of Technical Registration, please check their website for current providers.
Step three: Pass the national exam.
You are required to take and pass the National Home Inspection Exam (NHIE)
Step four: Apply for your license.
After you take the course and pass your test, you can to apply to the AZBTR to receive your home inspector license. You can fill out your application and find out more information here: Arizona State Board of Technical Registration.
Step five: must be at least 18 years old and provide 2 finger print cards.
